Video from Monday night captured clashes between Israel supporters and keffiyeh-clad anti-Israel protesters at a real estate expo in Brooklyn. The incident followed a similar clash at an expo last week.

The footage, recorded outside the Young Israel Synagogue, depicted a chaotic sidewalk standoff between the two sides. Anti-Israel groups swarmed the street, with some waving Palestinian and Hezbollah flags.

One male Israel supporter raised his fists toward a mob holding anti-Israel signs. He deployed pepper spray toward the group at one point.

The anti-Israel protesters targeted "The Great Israeli Real Estate Event," which featured properties for sale in Israel. They called the land "stolen" in the "occupied" Palestinian territory in the West Bank.

The Jerusalem Post reported that the Palestinian Assembly for Liberation Al-Awda of New York and New Jersey organized the mob. The group calls for the "de-colonization of Palestine."

Later footage showed NYPD officers arresting at least one anti-Israel protester after a scuffle. Officers threw the arrestee to the pavement.

Protesters shouted slogans including "Brick by brick, wall by wall, Zionism will fall" and "Free Palestine."

"We’re here today to send a message to the city and to send a message to the organizers that these kinds of events cannot and will not stand in New York City," said Taher Dahleh, an organizer with the Palestinian Youth Movement, according to Spectrum News 1.

A similar expo last week also drew protests.

New York City passed a "buffer zone" bill in March that limits protests near places of worship. The "NYC Houses of Worship Law" requires the NYPD to cordon off areas to protect worshippers at its discretion.

The law took effect in April. The NYPD is expected to present a formal enforcement plan to Mayor Zohran Mamdani and the city council in early June.

Neither Mamdani's office nor the NYPD returned requests for comment Tuesday morning.
