Body of Missing U.S. Soldier Recovered Off Morocco Coast
The U.S. Army announced Sunday that it has recovered the body of an American soldier who went missing in Morocco. He was one of two U.S. service members who disappeared just over a week ago in waters off Morocco's southern coast. Authorities said the other soldier remains missing.
A Moroccan military search team found the body of the soldier, identified as First Lt. Lamont Key Jr., along the shoreline about a mile from where both vanished in the ocean on May 2, the U.S. Army said.
The second serviceman has not been identified. Both were participating in African Lion, an annual training exercise. Defense officials previously told CBS News the incident was not believed to be related to the exercise.
