Vegas Golden Knights stick with Carter Hart in net for Game 6
The Vegas Golden Knights will start goaltender Carter Hart in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final as they try to force a Game 7 against the Carolina Hurricanes in Raleigh.
Hart was one of five former members of Canada's 2018 World Junior Championship team accused of sexual assault in a London, Ontario, hotel incident. All five players were acquitted last summer. The NHL said the conduct fell short of league standards.
Hart, who joined Vegas midseason after playing for the Philadelphia Flyers, has started every postseason game for the Knights.
Fans in Carolina have chanted "No means no" at Hart throughout the series. Hart called the chants "just noise" after Game 5.
Hart is the first goalie in NHL history to allow at least four goals in each of the first five games of a Stanley Cup Final. Carolina replaced Frederik Andersen with Brandon Bussi after Game 3; Bussi allowed three goals in Game 4 and two in Game 5.
Vegas will not face the chants at home, but the team will need stronger goaltending to extend the series.
